Review of support for children of offenders

The Welsh Government wish to undertake research to inform future policy and provision of services relating to children affected by parental imprisonment, in particular how activities could support the wellbeing and education of children with a parent in prison. This research should include a literature review of existing evidence in the area including the identification of good practice, primary fieldwork reviewing activity offered though HMP Parc, and finally fieldwork more broadly to consider what a model of support might look like at a national level and what considerations would need to be taken into account for different factors, for example demographic characteristics, prison types and populations and geography.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=129918.
