Brecon Beacons Local Nature Partnership (BBLNP), led by Brecon Beacons National Park Authority (BBNPA), would like to commission a Consultant to produce a Feasibility Study into Wildflower Seed Harvesting Operations within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Ideally the Consultant will have knowledge of Ecology, Wales and Seed Harvesting methods or will work in partnership with an expert who has this knowledge.The BBLNP has funding to set up the foundations of a local seed receptor and donor network, in the form of a small-scale trial and will be delivered within one year. The wider strategy is to embed this into the workstreams of all LNP Partners within the National Park. The Local Nature Partnership has recently received funding for a pilot wildflower seed harvesting project across the BBNPA area which includes purchasing equipment for future years and the production of a Feasibility Study. Various discussions and meetings have been held with landowners and NGOs across the area around the need and practicalities of seed harvesting and notes of all these meetings will be made available to the successful Consultant to include in the Study.(WA Ref:123146)The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
