Bangor University is planning to purchase a high power, high repetition rate, femtosecond laser system for enhancing its laser processing and advanced manufacturing capabilities. The system must be highly reliable, having been proven for 24/7 applications, and demonstrated for rapid laser cutting and welding of glass samples. In addition, demonstrations in composite material processing and synthesis of graphene are highly desirable.
