Replacement of the Building M&E Services and Re-Roofing of Cardiff University CUCHDS Building

Cardiff University (CUCHDS) – Roof ReplacementThe existing copings are to be removed and replaced with Alumasc Skyline aluminium coating as per specification item H31. The existing roof is to be covered with a liquid applied waterproof roof coating as stated in the specification item J31. Internal works are to be carried out when making good and replacing ceilings and walls, these are specified in the specifications under items K10 and K40. Replacement doors to be fitted to boiler room in line with specification item L20. A fixed companionway system is to be installed to facilitate access to plant and machinery, this is to be installed as per specification item L35. Plaster, render and internal finishes will be required as per specification items M20 and M60. Bird and Vermin control systems will be required as described in the specification under N16 and all fixing and adhesive requirements are stated under item Z20. Alumasc specification is provided for information.Cardiff University (CUCHDS) – Mechanical and ElectricalRemoval of existing mechanical equipment where required. Installation of 3 nr new air handling units, a new extract fan to the toilet, 14 nr new attenuators, two nr new boilers, a new hot water cylinder, two nr new air source heat pumps and 5 nr new pumps to new mechanical plant in the plantroom. These works include builders work in connection and testing and commissioning of all items. This is all in line with specifications and drawings provided in the mechanical section of the tender information.

Requests for a site visit will close at 5pm 2nd May 2022. Site visits will take place between 3rd May 2022 and 6th May 2022.Following the site visits, tenders must be submitted no later than 12 Noon, 17th May 2022.(WA Ref:120630)
