CCBC sought to appoint a technical consultant who can provide support to a solar farm project’s development.CCBC’s project opportunity is to develop a ground mounted solar farm of up to ~20 MW capacity, the largest of its kind in local authority ownership in Wales.A grid connection offer has been secured which provides for 15,306 kVA export on to Western Power Distribution’s network at 33kV. A provisional grid connection date has been agreed with Western Power Distribution (WPD) for Summer 2022 when WPD’s upgrade works at Upper Boat substation are due to have been completed.
