Parent Carer Forums are representative groups of parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities who work alongside local authorities, education, health and other services to help ensure that planned, commissioned, delivered and monitored services meet the needs of families (SEND Code of Practice 2015, para. 1.13). The forum gathers lived-experience and works in partnership with local services and supports effective co-production to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
