An Individual Service Fund (ISF) is one way of managing a person's personal budget for care and support:
•The provider manages the budget on behalf of the individual, unlike a Direct Payment where the individual manages the funds themselves.
•ISFs offer greater flexibility and choice, enabling people to shape their care around their preferences.
•Individuals can choose to use multiple providers to meet their needs.
•There is flexibility to carry forward (roll over) funds or support into future weeks or months, allowing people to plan for specific activities or goals.
