NHS England - Multi-professional Consultant Practice Pathway - Preliminary Market Engagement Event

As part of our commitment to deliver on the National Workforce Plan and 10 Year Health Plan, we are currently developing a new pathway for Level 8 recognition for Multi-professional Consultant level practice.

We’d like to invite you to a preliminary market engagement event to explore offering this pathway as a Doctorate by Practice, delivered over a period of 24-28 months. We are keen to engage with you as experts in this field and potential suppliers to explore the art of the possible and the timelines associated with this work.

We would like to discuss this concept and possible implementation from 17:00-18:00, on 27/01/2026, where we will outline our plans in more detail.

At this webinar, which is led by Professor Rob Crouch CBE, Senior Clinical Lead – Multi-professional Consultant Practice at NHS England, we will focus on:

• Learning from Pilot One
• What we can deliver
• What the pathway could look like in practice
