Islington Council is seeking to engage with suitably qualified providers for statutory mortuary services. This engagement aims to inform the Council’s approach to market and ensure service continuity in line with legal obligations.Scope of ServicesThe requirement includes:•Secure storage of deceased persons•Post-mortem facilities•Associated liaison and support services for H.M. CoronerThe Council proposes that facilities are located within close proximity to the borough (ideally within 3 miles of Islington Town Hall) to help minimise distress for bereaved families and enable timely examinations.
