Framework for Young People Educated Other Than At School (EOTAS) which includes all forms of education that takes place outside the school environment. As an alternative education to mainstream school, it is for young people aged 11-16 and includes, amongst other things, literacy and numeracy, vocational learning and apprenticeships. Its aim is to ensure that learners achieve a positive outcome in their learning, can re-integrate into mainstream school and progress in education, employment or training.
