On-site housing support for block accommodation buildings

This procurement request seeks to procure on-site housing support for block accommodation buildings. The demand for housing in Liverpool has seen significant increases in recent years. This has led to a rapid increase in the placement of households in emergency (first night) accommodation in the form of Bed and Breakfast (B&B) / Hotel facilities. It is expected that Liverpool's homelessness demand will continue at a similar rate over the coming years. It is for this reason that the Council could benefit from increasing its supply and use of temporary accommodation (TA) to alleviate B&B/hotel cost pressures. One option being pursued as part of a wider B&B reduction plan, is the use of block accommodation buildings with on-site support that will provide the Council with a significantly cheaper option in comparison to the current use of B&B/hotel settings.
