This Prior Information Notice relates to NHS Scotland's intentions of tendering for a National Digital Diabetes Prevention Service. Potential suppliers will be required to work alongside NHS Scotland National Diabetes Team to deliver the Digital Diabetes Prevention Programme.
The programme will seek to provide a proven clinical intervention using digital technology that will provide support over a 9-month period, using trained lifestyle coaches to enable participants to track progress against the Type 2 Diabetes precursor condition called NDH (non-diabetic hyperglycaemia or prediabetes), which is diagnosed by HbA1c blood test (42-47mmol/mol).
The issuing of this PIN will enable dialogue with interested suppliers, which, prior to any procurement exercise, may result in engagement sessions taking place. These sessions are anticipated to take place by mid February 2025.
