Hampshire County Council's School Transport service have procured a digital bus pass solution via a competitive quotation process. The aims and objectives of the service are to:
-Enable monitoring of usage of vehicles and to ensure that vehicles are not overloaded or underutilised.
-Ensuring the data that the Council has on its pupils accessing services, is up to date.
-To work with a supplier that will support the implementation of an innovative solution to generate efficiencies and support the rollout to transport operators in line with the requirements detailed in the specification.
-Support the Council's environmental priorities by reducing the need to print and post paper bus passes to the addresses of eligible pupils and schools.
The contract duration will be one year with two optional one year extension options.
