This contract has been awarded to work with 24 land managers, a group of high-net-worth investors and their bank Union Bancaire Privée, ecosystem service buyers (Wessex Water, Bath & Northeast Somerset Council), market-makers (EnTrade) and advisors (ADAS, Avon Wildlife Trust). The test will utilise a series of workshops and 1-2-1 discussions to co-design and test how private investment in nature-based solution ventures, can incentivise and reward land managers to collaborate as entrepreneurs on landscape recovery strategies that exceed the current potential of their lands.
The outcome of this 30-week project will be deep learning of the real-world engagement, diversity and complexity that the landscape recovery policies will need to accommodate to be effective.
