Croydon is looking to procure an IT solution to manage its residential licensing schemes.
The Housing Act provides the legislative basis for residential licensing, comprising:
1. Mandatory Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO)
2. Additional HMOs
3. Privately Rented Properties to Single Families (Selective Licensing)
The solution will be required to manage all aspects of such schemes. Ideally as a hosted solution with a managed service.
The end-to-end solution will need to cover:
⢠Online application forms linked to taking payments
⢠Back office processing to validate the application and grant the licence
⢠Managing split-payment options
⢠Surveying of properties
⢠Enforcement activities for identified unlicensed properties, or those not meeting the required standard, including court action
⢠Online public register
⢠TENs (Temporary Exemption Notices)
⢠Mobile working options
