South Tyneside Council is conducting a Soft Market Testing Exercise (SMTE) on behalf of the collaborative regional group (CCG's and Local authorities for South Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North Tyneside, Northumberland, and Durham). This exercise is being conducted to clarify the capacity of the market to supply a residential short break service for children with life-limiting and life-shortening conditions. Responses will be utilised to gauge the level of interest in this proposed procurement activity.
