This is a structures maintenance scheme with the main objective to re-waterproof Hobson Way Middle Drain Bridge deck. The following list is not comprehensive but details the main items of work incorporated into the scheme: ⢠Remove all the existing road, footway and hard verge construction including the existing waterproofing, ⢠Remove existing expansion joints, ⢠Check for and repair any defects to the concrete bridge deck, ⢠Prepare the existing bridge deck and install new spray applied waterproofing, ⢠Reinstate flexible plug joints on the carriageway and nosing joints on the footway, ⢠Resurface the carriageway over the bridge deck and its approaches, ⢠Reconstruct the footway and hard verge over the bridge deck, including new kerbs, ⢠Reinstate road markings.
