Step Up to Social Work is a Department for Education funded programme for graduates who meet the entry requirements to undertake studies and placement to achieve a Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Work or equivalent.

Sheffield City Council acts as the Lead Agency for the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Partnership, which is made up of Sheffield City Council (lead authority), Barnsley MBC, Calderdale Council, Doncaster Children Services Trust, East Riding Council, Hull City Council, North Lincolnshire Council, North East Lincolnshire, Rotherham MBC, and City of York Council.
