The Council has been successful in the second wave of the Green Paper and has secured funding for two Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTS), supporting children and young people with mild-to-moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing needs within their educational setting. MHSTS will cover 16,000 pupils aged 5-18 years, per team, per year. It is estimated that 1,000 pupils per team, per year will receive evidence based interventions provided by the MHSTS.
