Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (the Council) is seeking to engage with the market to gain an understanding of the capacity and appetite to bid on the Sexual Health Service within Southend-on-Sea.
The Council is interested to understand the capacity of the market to be able to bid on this opportunity should it be advertised in August-September 2020. The Council is looking to award the contract end of October 2020.
The service must commence on 1st April 2021.
We anticipate the contract will run for 3 years plus a possible extension of 3 years (to be taken in 12 month increments) with a maximum budget of approximately £1.3million per annum.
It is likely that the contract will include the following elements:
⢠Sexual health and reproductive health services including the national chlamydia screening programme (Level 1 and 2)
⢠Genito-Urinary-Medicine (GUM Level 3)
⢠Sexual health promotion and community HIV prevention
⢠Out of Area cross charging
⢠Contraceptive provision
⢠PGD sign off for EHC in community pharmacy
⢠Online STI testing
⢠Condom distribution scheme or equivalent
⢠Innovative ways to deliver digital services for STIs and contraception
⢠Laboratory services
