The Disagreement Resolution & Mediation Service is a jointly commissioned independent service which offers disagreement resolution and mediation for young people and their parents/carers.
The purpose of the service is to:
⢠Support with the process of resolving disagreements between parent/carers, young people and the Local Authority.
⢠Support with the process of resolving disagreements between parent/carers, young people and education provisions.
⢠Support with the process of resolving disagreements between parent/carers, young people and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) or Local Authorities about health or social care provision.
⢠Support with the process of resolving disagreements between Local Authorities and the CCG.
⢠To offer advice, information and guidance regarding the process of mediations and disagreement resolutions to young people and their parent/carers.
⢠To facilitate mediations according to the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
