Rutland County Council (the Council) is undertaking a soft market testing exercise, with the aim of providing information to and requesting feedback from the highway industry. The Council is especially keen to explore:
⢠The contract options and delivery models
⢠Incentivisation of the delivery
⢠The implications of the government's drive for social value
⢠The level of background information required by the market to prepare a potential bid
⢠Retaining flexibility in delivery mechanisms to take account of improved technologies and to reflect changes in regulations over a long-term contract
⢠Introducing services to this contract currently undertaken by RCC or others
The Council's intention is to undertake a procurement exercise that is compliant with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and advertise through "Find a Tender", for a Term Maintenance Contract (TMC). The operational service delivery elements would commence on 1st June 2024.
Responses should be submitted via ProContract www.eastmidstenders.org by 12:00noon on 19th November 2021. Please note that participation (or lack of) will not (dis)advantage any potential bidder for future tender opportunities.
