Leicester City Council organises and supports several major public events each year. These range from regular annual events like Diwali (thought to be the largest such event outside India) to one-off events like the Queen's Maundy visit, the Leicester City Football Club Victory Parade, and the King Richard III Reinterment event. Leicester City Council proposes to appoint a suitably experienced and capable supplier to provide an existing and proven system which will require minimal customisation to become operational from the beginning of June 2022 when the previous contract for this service expires.
