Glazing repairs (Elemental trade specialists) - to support the Council's in house contractor Leeds Building Services to deliver glazing works to domestic properties as part of responsive maintena

The Council has currently got an exciting opportunity and desire to engage with local contractors who can deliver glazing works primarily within occupied and void domestic properties across the City of Leeds (in addition to maybe some non-housing works). This is to support the delivery of works by the Council's in house DLO Leeds Building Services (LBS).

We are looking to engage with multiple contractors to source interest in being included within an approved list of contractors for these works. The intention is to seek expressions of interest from preferably glazing contractors to deliver just this element of works to (LBS).

It is intention to then invite contractors to tender a price (% reduction or uplift) to the tender documents and priced schedule that will be based on the M3 Housing NHF schedule of rates and specification, for glazing repair works. The Council will seek to appoint in the region of 4 to 6 contractors subject to tender submission and evaluation and to utilise all appointed contractors to their available capacity.

For reference typically the most requested jobs are likely to require glazing repairs as follows:

 Single glazing repairs and replacement

 Double glazing replacement

 Metal windows glazing repairs

 Stained and Obscure glass

 Leaded glazing, velux lights,

 Utility glazing repairs and replacement

 Accessories, handles and hinges

The form of contract will be a JCT Minor Works contract.
