Chairbed - Request for Expressions of Interest

NNUH is looking to purchase two chairbeds for use in the neurophysiology department

NNUH are looking to purchase two chairbeds meeting the following requirements:

1. A "chair-bed" - that reclines the patient from a seated to a fully flat position, by means of;

a. a reclining backrest b. a raiseable footrest c. a tilt function to alter the angle of the reclined occupant d. all electrically operated and offering continuous (as opposed to discreet) levels of adjustment

2. Seat dimensions a. Width; 90cm external / 70cm internal - to offer side-by-side seating for two b. Height; 47.5cm c. Depth; 50cm

3. The back rest should be a. the full width of the seat base b. 75cm in height c. The top 25cm of the seat back should be removeable and secured (operated by a single individual) to allow application of electrodes to the head of the patient

4. Offer compact dimensions (Maximum WxDxH);

a. When in the seated position - 90 x 85 x 115 b. When in the fully reclined position - 90 x 185 x 50

5. Include removeable armrests

6. Minimum 250kg user weight capacity

7. On lockable castors, to allow easy manoeuvring of the chair
