Leicester City Council is currently nearing the end of the term of its current contract for an Open Data Platform and is therefore seeking tenders that would be effective from the end date of the current agreement in place. The Open Data Platform enables the council to publish data in a way that allows for open innovation, transparency and collaboration. It helps the Council achieve its Smart City and Digital Transformation objectives, including supporting and encouraging data-driven innovation. Therefore, its primary purpose is to make open data available to third parties so that they can apply their expertise to the benefit of Leicester and the wider economy.
