1262 Refurbishment and Alterations to Mill Studio Buildings, De Montfort University, Leicester

The works consist of construction of alterations to Mill Studios to accommodate new flight simulator and wind tunnel. Works consist of removal of existing spray booths and associated services, roof lights and roof to Rooms MS0.26/a&b and MS0.27. Removing existing roof and steel work and construction of new roof works to MS0.26/a&b and MS0.27. Works to MS0.33 consist of alteration of existing room to improve acoustic reduction of spacing including construction of new internal acoustic walls and secondary glazing to windows. Alteration to all associated services to accommodate proposed plans. The M&E elements are described in the M&E tender pack.

The Building will be occupied during the course of the works. Careful coordination will be required for shut downs within the building such a mechanical and electrical connections. The contract should factors this into their delivery of the project.
