The aim of the research is to provide updated information on the size and makeup of the population requiring assisted digital and digitally excluded support to update HMRC's understanding of these customers and their specific support needs. The research will consist of a survey with the UK adult population and follow up depth interviews with customers requiring assisted digital and digitally excluded support. Findings from this research are expected to be used in multiple areas across the department to design and deliver services.
