In accordance with Ministry of Justice Guidelines, our cemeteries require regular assessments to be undertake to ensure they are safe for all users. This includes paths, fences and memorials; however this contract refers specifically and exclusively to memorials that are taller than 5'6" in Scartho Road and Beacon Avenue Cemeteries.
There are currently 646 grave memorials that are taller than 5'6", across two site, that require safety testing and reports made to NELC confirming any issues with their construction and stability.
