Healthy Shopping and Cooking

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a Provider to deliver healthy cookery +/- shopping courses in the Cambridgeshire area, targeted at low-income parents of young children. The courses should increase parents' skills and confidence in the following areas:

• understanding healthy eating,

• selecting healthy choices when shopping,

• making healthy food on a budget,

• reducing food waste,

• food safety

• cooking family meals.

The courses will be part of the overall strategy to increase levels of healthy weight across the county. The service will initially be commissioned to provide a minimum of one course in each of the districts of Cambridgeshire. Funding will be provided as a single payment for the service to deliver the contract by the end of the 2022/23 financial year.
