Expertise to develop a competency framework and supporting material for the nursing workforce

We require a part time (1 days per week) subject matter expert, to support the development of a genomics competency framework for nurses The framework will be for both the generalist and specialist workforce and aligned to the GMS delivery model.

The work will require the creation of clinical genomic based scenarios, collating and analysis of data from any events to inform the production of draft competencies and working with the GEP to ensure publication and promotion of the competency framework. Once in place there will be scope to contextualise the framework by drawing out learning outcomes, practice indicators and the identification of educational resources to support these.
