The project offers free travel on bus services within Leicestershire to incentivise ridership on the commercial and supported service networks. The project will enable the Council to repay bus operators from Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding received from Government for the revenue that will be foregone by operators through the duration of the free travel offer.
