Leeds City Council invites you to submit a tender for a refurbishment and 'repower' retrofit of four refuse collection vehicles (RCVs). The successful bidder will take what would have been end-of-life diesel RCVs and re-purpose/re-engineer them as fully electric vehicles with a new lifespan of 6 years; as part of this process the Contractor will also refurbish mechanical components, bodywork, the chassis, and cabins in order for those components to last for the extended operational life of the vehicles involved.
