The Provision of Facilities Management Strategy Services

The Authority is seeking a consultant experienced in the development of a Facilities Management (FM) Strategy, for new and existing NHS Acute facilities. The FM Strategy will review the performance of the existing FM operating model and the design of the new 70,000m2 hospital to help deliver the FM Principles and Vision.

The FM strategy will cover the following services lines for the existing and new hospitals:

• Cleaning;
• Portering;
• Housekeeping;
• Patient Dining and Retail Catering;
• Restaurant & Meal and Drink Vending services;
• Waste management;
• Sustainability;
• Staff accommodation;
• Parking;
• Grounds and Gardens;
• Security guards/ access control/ CCTV;
• Beds Maintenance;
• EBME (Electro Bio-Medical Engineering);
• Internal Transport;
• Patient Transport Ambulance service;
• Linen & Uniforms and Laundry;
• Fire Safety;
• Wayfinding Signage;
• Sterile Services contract;
• Estates management;
• Estate maintenance PPM and predictive maintenance;
• Estates help desk;
• Estates stores & just in time inventory system;
• Estates minor works;
• Estates Statutory Compliance and Energy Management; and
• Digital Estates.
