The ONS is intending to recruit academic and/or private sector economists and statisticians to deliver research on the development of methods to estimate education quality. Ideal measures of public service output (including education output) use a system of direct indicators, following the System of National Accounts 2008 and the Atkinson Review (2005). This work will contribute to improved measures of output and productivity of the public sector in the UK.
