Provision of Penny Pie Park Footbridge and Civils Works

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) is looking to establish a contract for the fabrication and civils works associated with the provision of a foot and cycle bridge linking Penny Pie and Pogmoor Recreation Ground to enhance the delivery of the A628 Dodworth Road / Broadway Junction Improvement Scheme which is currently in progress.#

The Contractor will also be responsible for the following packages of works;

• Fabrication of the Footbridge (Either directly or via a sub-contractor)

• Temporary works,

• Pilling and foundations,

• Footbridge transport and delivery; and

• Footbridge lift and installation works.

The Contract will run for a period of approximately 24 weeks which will include the process of engagement and approval with Network Rail and the delivery of the works.
