GR/HGW/Defect Response and Emergency Work Term Maintenance Contract 2025

This contract is essential for Highways Maintenance team to deliver statutory duties, including:\r

• minor maintenance works;\r
• minor coated macadam patching and pothole reinstatement to carriageways and footways;\r
• relaying and replacing slabs;\r
• relaying and replacing kerbs and channels;\r
• adjusting boxes;\r
• fixing and adjusting small signs;\r
• cutting and trimming trees, hedges and shrubs;\r
• removing obstructions from the highway;\r
• providing assistance to the emergency services;\r
• reacting to civil contingencies which may include severe weather events and oil spills;\r

The contract is intended to last for an initial 8 year period with two optional 2 year extensions.\r

\r

Estimated value is £2million per annum (up to £16million for the initial period and up to £24million if all extension exercised).
