The Authority has awarded a contract to deliver our Energy Switch strategy. This contract will develop, promote and operate a high-quality service on behalf of Essex County Council that enables the residents and commercial businesses (via a bureau service) of Essex to;
1. Switch gas and/or electricity providers and,
2. reduce energy costs based on their individual circumstances and,
3. support the Authority in its aim to reduce fuel poverty within the County of Essex.
Additional information: The contracting authority considered that this contract was suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, selection of tenderers was based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
Please note the value of the contract is approximate as this is variable depending upon the number of switches undertaken throughout the life of the contract.
