3.1 The University of Birmingham has a requirement for hire and laundry of bedding, bed linen and towels for summer conferencing in its student accommodation. The University operates three accommodation villages in Edgbaston and Selly Oak, comprising over 5,000 bedspaces, which are all used for summer business. It is estimated that the University currently spends approximately ?88,000 per year on these services in a typical year. These services will be required from June 2022.
