Brief description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk and Insurance Lead.
Reporting to the Audit Services Business Partner - Risk and Insurance, the post-holder will be jointly responsible for the following:
The post therefore requires extensive experience in the area of providing advice and guidance in risk management processes and procedures. The successful candidate will also need detailed knowledge and experience of insurance requirements and the handling of claims for compensation within a public-sector environment.
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years' experience in a management position with significant experience of complex insurance claims at a senior level.
The role requires:
o Successfully implementing performance management, quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
o Handling and leading organisational change o Management/ monitoring of service level-agreements and external contracts.
o Management of finance, staff and other resources.
o Implementing and monitoring new initiatives and ways of working to achieve agreed objectives.
o Leading and managing a specialist team through complex and continuous change.
o Understanding complex control systems and preparation of complex reports.
o Extensive and current knowledge of the legislation relating to insurance claims and investigations.
A qualification in Professional Risk or Insurance is required (e.g. Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute or Institute of Risk Management).
