Supply Chain Notice:Supply and Install Permanent Tower Crane in Portsmouth Naval Base

The Tenderer should be aware that the works detailed in this package are constrained due to the nature of the location they are to be conducted in.

The Contractor shall be expected to adhere by the HMNB site security requirements, all Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be BPSS security vetted and will be required to hold the relevant site security passes.

The Contractor shall be expected to hold the following levels of insurance £10m Public Liability, £10m Product Liability, £5m Professional Indemnity.

Project Opportunity

To design and install permanent lifting capability on 3 basin Promontory in Portsmouth Naval Base, Hampshire, PO1 3LS. Budget circa £2M. Completion by May 2025. The Promontory is circa 150m long and 30m wide and is capable of double berthing vessels on each side. The project includes:

· Design and manufacture of crane

· Delivery to Portsmouth Naval Base

· Erection

· Commissioning including test load

· Training

· Warranty

The crane shall have:

· Minimum 55m under hook

· Minimum 80m lift radius, ideally 90m

· Lift 10t at a minimum radius of 50m

· Foundation anchor for long term, permanent use

· Increased corrosion protection for exposed marine environment

· Be designed for Wind Zone D25

Desirable crane options:

· Elevator

· Aircraft warning system

· Cabin air conditioning

· Construction site lighting

· Remote Control

Assume:

· Assume 80% of the lifts are under 5t

· Assume electrical supply is provided by others (using information provided by the crane designer)

· Assume foundation preparation is completed by others (using information provided by the crane designer)

A Non-Disclosure Agreement will also be required, prior to participating in a Pre Qualification and/or Invitation to Tender.
