B&D Energy is seeking to procure a suitably qualified company to carry out the design and construction of a new Strategic Energy Centre (SEC) in Barking Town Centre (BTC). (LOT2) This is a new Strategic Energy Centre that shall serve a mixture of new and existing customers throughout the BTC area
The Strategic Heat Network (SHN) to which this SEC shall be connected has already been procured under LOT1 of this two part procurement process and the SEC shall be the primary energy source to meet the heat demands of the BTC SHN.
The SHN network shall link into the existing Gascoigne East DH network at the southern end of Barking Town Centre for both short terms supplies pending the completion of the SEC, as well as supplies to the entire SHN in the longer term depending on loads on the Gascoigne East development.
