As part of preparing the evidence base for the Local Plan Review, the Council seeks to commission consultants to undertake the preparation of various evidence-based studies which together will provide the Council with a robust understanding of housing and employment requirements for the district. Exploring these matters will consist of 4 separate studies:
A: Lancaster District Gypsy & Travelling Showpeople Accommodation Assessment (GTAA) - which is the subject of this brief.
B: Lancaster District Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA).
C: Establishing the Housing Requirement for Lancaster District.
D: Lancaster District Employment Land Review.
All four studies are currently out for tender. Consultants are invited to tender for individual studies or a combination of studies where expertise and capacity allow. Each study will however be procured separately and assessed on its own merit.
