The team provides advice to all the teams within Children's Services which includes adoption and fostering. The recent OFSTED inspection and subsequent report has meant an increase in work for the team, particularly urgent cases where immediate steps have to be taken to ensure the safety of children. The team cannot appropriately assist the improvement work of Children's Services without having the required number of lawyers.
