BMBC are looking to establish a Contract for Engineering and Construction work with a Provider for undertaking proactive maintenance on Langdale Road Bridge.
Langdale Road Bridge was constructed circa 1975. It carries the A61 Harborough Hill Road over the A628 Kendray Street and forms part of the key interchange within Barnsley.
In accordance with Bridge Principal Inspection, various works have been proposed to undertake repairs including, replacement of posts, removal and replacement of safety barriers, removal and replacement of the bridge deck expansion joint etc.
In addition, a suitable temporary protective system along with temporary scaffolding will be required to carry out the parapets and safety barriers replacement.
