The General Medical Council is looking to procure a Digital Identification service that will allow for a remote / online service to support the verification of the applicants' identity.
The digital verification service will support 2 key aspects of this process for all applicants regardless of their country of origin:
1) Document verification
2) Person verification
The outcome of the digital identification process will inform the GMC verification through provision of a Level of Assurance (LOA) rating based upon the authenticity of the document, and the corresponding likeness of the individual applicant submitting the document in the service.
