The Nexgen Nurse continue to work to understand and dismantle the barriers which exist for nurses from a Black or Minority Ethnic background which hinder their promotion to senior levels of the profession in the expected numbers.
We want to continue to use sponsorship as a vehicle to ensure that BME nurses are linked to opportunities for advancement and that the senior leaders of the profession are cited on the challenges that exist for BME nurses and equipped to support them in a culturally competent manner.
We are looking for a supplier to provide a culturally competent sponsorship programme to deliver on our commitment to increase the number of BME nurses at the senior level of the profession to a level which is diverse and representative of the broader nursing workforce.
