This contract aims to link families in need with local volunteers who can offer help and support at a time of crisis. The aim is to provide short term assistance, including hosting (overnight respite care), to families requiring additional support as part of a range of early intervention and prevention services designed to prevent children becoming "looked after".\r
The service will be required to provide support for up to 42 families per year at a maximum budget of £75,000. They will be based predominantly within the southeast and central Northumberland area however a focus in the north and west of the County will also be required. \r
