Luton Borough Council require a programme of support for businesses that will help them engage with the local community and costumers generally online. Businesses should continually engage with their customers to drive footfall and spending in store as well as supporting online sales with many failing to have any online presence. \r
The need to upskill businesses was evidenced recently by 65.6% of businesses in a recent UK wide survey, admitting that they require access to support and training to help them grow their business. There are around 6,400 independent businesses across Luton with only 12% having a social media presence and on average a mere 48 businesses active online each day.\r
This programme will designed to support businesses getting online and then to help grow their business through effective use of their website and/or social media.\r
