The Lang Avenue Property Level Flood Protection (PLP) Scheme requires the procurement and installation of appropriate property-level flood protection measures to protect each property from the ingress of flood water. To minimised the risk of flood water ingress to the properties in the Scheme only BSI Kitemarked (PAS 1188:2009) flood defence products will be used, these will include; door barriers, 'smart' air bricks non-return valves for foul water systems and/or other appropriate methods. Where a relevant BSI Kitemark is not relevant for the aspect of work, the appropriate industry standard will be used as the benchmark for specific element of work to be carried out.
